What is OLAT and why is it important?

Operator Licence Awareness Training (OLAT) is designed to help operators understand their responsibilities and how to meet the standards expected by DVSA and the Traffic Commissioner.

This course is often required :

  • Following a Public Inquiry

  • As part of an undertaking on your licence

  • Where improvements to compliance are needed

  • When entering the industry, with some applications requiring OLAT before or shortly after a licence is granted

  • If you’re responsible for compliance day-to-day and want to stay ahead.

  • If you’ve had a DVSA visit, or want to be fully prepared for the next one.

  • You want practical guidance, not just theory you can't use.

This training provides clear, practical guidance to help you understand what is expected and how to apply it in your operation.
